Hello loves! There's really only one thing on anyone's mind at this time of year-Christmas of course! In this post I share what's on my Christmas list! It's been that time of year for quite a while and to tell you the truth, I've kind of been avoiding this post. Not to bah-humbug all over your holiday spirit or anything, but the Holidays are actually my least favorite time of year. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not against Christmas or Thanksgiving or anything like that. It's just that everywhere you go during the Holiday season, everything seems like a hyperversion of itself. There's too many people, too much traffic, loud Christmas music EVERYWHERE, so many lights, Santa impostors on every corner and everyone is so focused on buy buy buy, shop shop shop. It just seems very overstimulating and it stresses me out for some reason. I've felt like this for many years and I think some other people do too. Nothing a little eggnog won't fix I guess. Oh, wait...I don't drink RAW EGGS. (I feel very strongly about eggnog, as you can see. I know it's pasteurized but gluck.) Nevertheless, there are some things I enjoy about the holidays! I like spending time with my family, the food and Christmas movies. (Keep the change, ya filthy animal.) And of course, presents! Nowadays, I feel guilty asking for specific gifts from anyone because I tend to like more expensive things as an adult and I feel like a freeloading mooch. I really love it when people just buy things for my kids! It feels good to see them happy. That's not to say I don't have a Christmas list-it's just that I know I'll get exactly what I want because I'm buying it for myself! The materialism really gets to me around this time of year so I keep it to a minimum. I do think it's fun to look at other people's lists, so I thought I might share mine. If you're looking for a gift for a 20-something in your family, this might inspire you-here's what's on my list this year! 1) Paris Themed Bedding Set Sometime in the next few months, I'm going to be redecorating my room for a less cluttered, more zen-like feel-an Instagram Aesthetic vibe, if you will! I created a moodboard and decided to stick with calming neutrals like, black, white, grey, earthy tans and sage greens. Think water fountains, potted cacti, marble accents, etc. Right away I decided on this bedset from JCPenney-I got a king sized set on sale for under $40...kind of a steal! I believe you can still order it on the JCP website. 2) Footspa I am so busy. I hardly ever have time to make it out to the nail salon for pedicures and honestly, they are just so necessary. I decided I'd like to be able to at least soak my feet after long days so I'm looking around for a decent footspa. Perfect for nights when I'm staying in and doing my nails or my skincare routine! I'm not sure where I'll be getting mine but the one pictured is from Walmart. 3) Viva La Juicy Gift Set Some scents just never stop being lovely and this has been one of my favorites for years. I had a Viva La Juicy pen spray once upon a time but I used the entire thing of course! I don't wear perfume every single day so I don't think I need a full sized one, but I definitely want a bottle to keep on my vanity. Best of all, you can usually find these sets for like $25.00 at TJ Maxx or Marshalls, although the one pictured is on Kohl's website for $48.00. Still not too bad! 4) BH Cosmetics Nouveau Chic Palette I'm a BH Cosmetics freak and I've been loving coral, orange and pink shadow lately so this palette just called out to me. It's a collection of beautiful and feminine neutral shadows. (Yes, even the big pans are shadows-I thought they were blushes at first and I was slightly bummed.) Y'all, I may or may not be slightly geeked over this palette. 5) BH Cosmetics Marble Makeup Brush Set I might be geeked over this brush set as well. This is also from BH Cosmetics and I just love the marble and rose gold motif! If you ask me whether or not I love it because it matches the palette for the room that I haven't even decorated yet, I will vehemently deny it. Anyways, I really need some new makeup brushes and these are gorgeous, ok? That is my entire list for this year! I really love that it's so short and I feel like next year I will pare it down to three items. Or heck, none! Do you guys prefer a more minimalistic approach to Christmas or are you a Misteltoe Ho (ho ho)? What's on your list? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!
