over-sized sweater during the colder months. You may think that the only way to wear one is with jeans or sweats but there are so many cute outfits you can create with an over-sized sweater! Keep reading to see how I styled mine!
I bought this sweater for $15 from Burlington. (I may or may not have been reading a fashion post and gotten so excited that I went shopping on my lunch break; I plead the fifth.) It's sooo comfortable and the color is perfect-a sandy neutral that will go with everything! And when I say over-sized I mean I literally bought a size 3X sweater on purpose-that much more comfy!
Outfit number one: Nude Heels
I find this so cute and vampy-although not exactly practical. (Let's face it, what's the point of wearing a sweater if you're letting Jack Frost feel up on your legs?) This is such a Kardashian look but it's probably best if we leave this one to Kim-I don't think I'm daring enough to wear this one out of the house but it's totally a cute pin-up look! Alternatively, you could pair a sweater with thigh high heels for an option that's a little warmer.
Outfit number two: Leggings and Nude Heels
My office is pretty lenient about what I wear so long as I'm covered up, so I use my work outfits as a chance to experiment with different outfit combinations and wear things I would normally never wear. (I did wear this to work and the building didn't burn down or anything-I guess that's a positive sign) I would call this outfit more of an aesthetic, pinterest look but it is definitely a little more wearable than the first option and just as stylish!
Outfit Number 3: Sweater over a body-con dress
Knit body-con dresses are so soft and comfortable and putting them under a sweater takes them right from summer to fall! I paired my sweater with a mauve midi length dress and finished it off with those same nude heels! Soft and squishy and smooth and comfortable-so, like, a marshmallow.
I wanted to buy a whole wardrobe of over-sized sweaters but I'm keeping myself at bay for the time being and only using the one to mix and match different outfits.
What do you think? How would you wear an oversized sweater?
